My name is Caitlin and I’m a DONA-certified birth doula, a Brilliant Birth Academy placenta encapsulator, and a CAPPA-trained childbirth educator serving the San Diego region. To expand my skillset, I’ve taken the Doula Finishing Series and observed the HypnoBirthing series at the Birth Education Center. I have also completed the Spinning Babies workshop with Nicole Morales. My passion for pregnancy and birth began in 2017 while I was pregnant with my first daughter who became my angel when she was born with trisomy 18. It wasn’t until the birth of my second daughter and the cascade of interventions that came with that birth, that I decided I wanted to turn my passion into a career. I wanted to help other people have a better experience than I did, no matter which route they took. Through education, informed decision-making, and support. That birth led me to have a home birth with my third daughter. After my homebirth experience with a certified professional midwife, I now realize I want to be a midwife and I am currently a student midwife at Midwives College of Utah. I believe in making informed decisions during pregnancy and birth and always trust the mother’s intuition. I consider it an honor to have families choose me as their doula and allow me to play a role in the birth of their child. I continually strive to empower, educate and simply hold space for mothers and their partners throughout their birth with my calming presence.

This is my family. My husband Evan, who makes this passion of mine possible, and my two daughters. When I have free time, you can find me doing fun things with them. Or watching tv & movies with my husband.
